Frequently Asked
Questions

Question: Are you accepting new clients?

Answer: Yes! As of 05/01/2026 we have resumed accepting new clients and we would be thrilled to have you!

Question: Do you accept walk-ins?

Answer: We are by appointment only. We do not accept walk-ins. However, if you are an established client and you have an emergency during normal business hours, please call us immediately (even if you are already on your way to us) so we can best be prepared for you.

Question: Are you amazing?

Answer: Guilty.

Question: Do you treat exotic animals, such as birds or snakes?

Answer: Unfortunately, we only see and treat cats and dogs. We do not routinely treat reptiles, birds,  fish, farm livestock, native wildlife of any sort, humans, plants, ghosts, vampires, sasquatch, the Lizard Man of Lee County, el Chupacabra, etc.

Question: Do you accept payment plans?

Answer: This is not something our hospital currently offers, though we hope to do so in the future, and if that time comes this FAQ will be immediately updated. Until then, payment in full is due when services are rendered. Estimates are available in each exam room and before any procedure.

Question: Is your building wheelchair accessible?

Answer: Yes. We are in compliance with all state and federal regulations pertaining to wheelchair accessibility, and if there is ever anything you need beyond those requirements to help your visit with us more accommodating we are happy to oblige!

Question: I tried calling your office at 8am when you open but I was unable to get through to someone. Why?

Answer: While our office opens at 8am each weekday morning, our phones do not turn on until 8:30am. This allows us the time to check in surgery appointments. Additionally, our phones are off from 12pm to 2:15pm, even though we open from lunch at 2pm.

Question: I am an established client with a pet that needs a nail trim. Does that require an appointment?

Answer: Nail trims do not generally require an appointment as long as that is all you need. If the patient is established with us and up to date on vaccines, we would be happy to trim the nails for you! We can best serve you in this way on Tuesday afternoons between 2:30 and 5pm.

Question: I need to bring my cat in to your hospital but I don't have a carrier. May I bring her in wrapped in a towel, or maybe just in my arms?

Answer: No. For the safety of your cat we require all cats to be in a carrier when entering the building. If you do not own a carrier, you my stop by our office to purchase a temporary cardboard carrier. You can also find a wide variety of carriers at Petco and PetSmart. Please do not attempt to bring a cat into our building without it being in a carrier.

Question: What is the square root of 1,402,204?

Answer: It's 1,184.14695.

Question: I see that your hospital has a few house cats who roam inside the hospital. Will they try to escape out the door as I enter or exit?

Answer: The grey and white shorthair, Ella, will indeed try to make a run for it. Despite her supervised playtime in our backyard while on a cat leash, she yearns to frolic in our parking lot and through the tiny forest behind our practice. Please try to keep your eyes peeled for this adorable trouble maker as you exit the building (pictured below for easy identification). Just look at her, plotting her next escape.
